Leroy and L’Shaun Woods are siblings from Lee County who both participated in CCTC’s dual-enrollment program while attending Lee Central High School.
After participating in dual-enrollment classes at CCTC, Leroy decided to attend CCTC full-time after high school to earn his Associate in Arts Degree. He graduated from CCTC with cum laude honors in 2019. Leroy then enrolled at Coker University to further his education. He hopes to attend Winthrop University’s graduate program after Coker and achieve his dream of being a licensed substance abuse counselor two years sooner than anticipated due to the jump start Central Carolina provided him.
L’Shaun, Leroy’s younger sister, grew up being taught to “always follow the goals you set for yourself.” While attending CCTC, L’Shaun has served as secretary of Phi Theta Kappa and has been involved with the Palmetto Girls State organization. She graduated in May 2021 and plans to pursue a career as an elementary school teacher back in Lee County.
